REMINDER TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS: May 15th is still the due date for the payment of first half real estate taxes. It is strongly encouraged that payment is made by May 15th if you are able to do so.

For those who may have undue hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the penalty will be temporarily abated for payments postmarked by July 15th, 2020 for the payment due on May 15th 2020 with the following exceptions:

(Penalties incurred from May 16th and forward will not be abated on payments postmarked after July 15th 2020.)

For taxpayers who have their property taxes escrowed as well as for those who cumulatively owe $25,000 or more a year in property taxes, payment is still expected on or before May 15th. Penalties applied accordingly on payments postmarked after May 15 as per MN Statute will not be abated.

Any taxpayer that determines they have experienced significant hardship may seek a reduction or abatement through the regular procedures provided in Minn. Stat Section 375.192.

Please note: If the box on line 1 of your property tax statement is checked, you have delinquent taxes.
